He’s not from around here… Kogar! An Alien Renegade for Mutants and Masterminds

KogarPromo600He’s not from around here… Kogar!

Now Available from Drive Thru RPG!

A Power Level 12 Renegade, Kogar is an alien bounty hunter with little concern for local law. Kogar is an iconic character in the Beacon City universe, but can be dropped into any campaign with very little alteration.

Kogar’s file is designated “Red” to indicate his powers are innate, but alien. Strong, fast, and skilled in battle, Kogar is a tough visitor to any planet. Unfortunately, he’s not exactly concerned with obeying local customs or checking in with the local law. In fact, he’s not entirely sure what the locals look like, he’s only concerned with tracking down his quarry and cashing them in for a bounty before moving on to his next mission! Any hero who gets in his way will find him occasionally reasonable, but no less annoying for it. On the other hand, his space-ship’s ability to travel anywhere in the known universe might just make him the ally your heroes never knew they needed. For a price.

Welcome to Rogues, Rivals & Renegades. Each entry in the series is designed as a villain, a potential ally with complications, or an outsider who might help the PCs one day and be at odds with them another. Each character has the potential to become a mainstay of your campaign!

Rogues, Rivals & Renegades are presented as files from a meta-human monitoring agency called METAs, with a loose frame story connecting them to Vigilance Press‘s own Beacon City setting. They are designed to drop into any setting with minimal effort, however, and the METAs commentary is written to give you a better picture of each character’s personality and threat level. Each issue gives you a background for the character, commentary from METAs files, a standee to print and play with, and Hero Lab files for key characters!

Authored by James Dawsey with full color art by Alex Williamson, and layout by Ruben Byrd. Designed for the Mutants and Masterminds Third Edition roleplaying game.

Putting the “ESP” in Espionage.. White Room, for Mutants and Masterminds

UlyssesPromo600They put the ESP in Espionage… White Room!

Available now from Drive Thru RPG!

A Renegade Organization, White Room is a mysterious intelligence agency composed of individuals with unique gifts. White Room is an iconic setting element in the Beacon City universe, but can be dropped into any campaign with very little alteration.

White Room’s file has no color or ranking designation, because the organization may be composed of people of hugely diverse backgrounds. In fact, the membership of the organization is left largely vacant, for the GM to fill with characters tailor-made to their players. The two feature agents of White Room detailed in this release are Mr. Ulysses and Ms. D. These two mysterious characters are PL 11 and 9, respectively, each offering a distinctive set of psychic skills with which they serve the interests of White Room. What are those interests? Will the players find themselves targets of this mysterious espionage group, or will they fight side by side? Only time, and serious investigation, will tell!

Welcome to Rogues, Rivals & Renegades. Each entry in the series is designed as a villain, a potential ally with complications, or an outsider who might help the PCs one day and be at odds with them another. Each character has the potential to become a mainstay of your campaign!

Now available from Drive Thru RPG!

A Power Level X Rogue, Obsidious is an undying evil being who delights in confronting people with their own dark sides. Obsidious is an iconic character in the Beacon City universe, but can be dropped into any campaign with very little alteration.

Obsidious’s file is designated “Black” to reflect his strange, occult origins. Is he a god? A cosmic entity from another world? Or is he a servant of powers even more terrifying that lurk beyond the worlds we know? No-one knows for certain, but his evil nature is unquestionable. On his own, he is a Power Level 16 threat, but the powers within his mystic Black Mirror grant him abilities that defy quantification. Chief among these powers is his ability to confront heroes with dark reflections of themselves, manifestations of their own dark sides given physical form! Can your heroes defeat themselves and foil the plots of Obsidious?
