Thank you! Xièxiè!

Public Backer Update 03 Summary: THANK YOU!!!! Also, for those just joining us, instructions on how to download and read the Playtest PDF. If you have no idea what this post is about, check out our Kickstarter here!

This is just a quick update to let everyone know how much I appreciate your support. Less than 24 hours to fully fund! That’s amazing! I need to start by thanking everyone who has participated in the Kickstarter campaign so far, of course, but there are some very special people I’d like to recognize for their support, large and small. If that sort of thing bores you, just consider this update an acknowledgement that we have hit our initial funding goal and are planning to release some news about our stretch goals in the coming updates.

For those who have backed, I’ve put a handy link in the Kickstarter campaign just under the first image called “Already a backer?” That’ll take you to the first Backers Only update, which has instructions and links on how to download the Playtest document for Tianxia: Blood, Silk & Jade. If anything seems unclear, message me directly and I’ll see about helping you through it. There’s also a link on that page to access our Google Drive Form where you can fill in any typos or problematic passages from the document so that we can squish any bugs you find before they creep into the final document. On behalf of Nathan Kahler, thanks to those of you for this particular bit of help, I’m already seeing some feedback in this regard and it’s very welcome.

Now, some more thanks. First off, I want to thank Jack Norris and Denise Jones for crafting this world for us. Jack has been spinning this world in his head for the past 10 years or so, and without Denise’s amazing artwork you guys wouldn’t have been able to immediately see and respond to it. So, innumerable thanks to you two. To my editor, Nathan Kahler: Thank you for keeping me sane, putting up with my moments of doubt, and my constant fiddling. To our layout and graphic design guru, Daniel Solis: You have breathed life into the world of Tianxia, and I would hate to take another step without your guidance. Amazing work, from all of you.

There are people beyond Vigilance Press and the freelancers who worked on this project I want to thank as well. Everyone at Green Ronin for being friends and later fans: Jon, Steve, Nicole, Hal, and Chris… I’ll always be in your debt. You welcomed me to the other side of gaming, and I can’t thank you enough.

For creating Fate Core: All the Evil Hat Guys, but most particularly Fred Hicks (thank you for stepping up and discussing our shipping trials on Google +, I should probably be paying you for PR work), Ryan Macklin- I hope to engage with you more actively on a Tianxia project very soon- ditto for Mike Olson. Many thanks also to Rob Donoghue, the Valentines, Leonard Balsera and Brian Engard. You have been building this fan-base for a decade now. Thank you for welcoming me into it.

This list could go on and on, but I think I’ll sum it up here. I love where we’re at with Tianxia right now. I know with your help we can make it bigger and even more exciting. The next stop is our first Stretch Goal, the Lifepath Generator, which will be unlocked for everyone who participated at the $15.00 or higher level, as will *all* of our Digital stretch goals. On the horizon I can see the fiction anthology which I once thought of as a pipe dream… now, it looks a lot closer than it was. With your help, we can really bring Tianxia to life.

Thank you everyone.

Your Kung Fu is Invincible.
